They figure they have to start forming minds and implementing the indoctrination process before parents can teach them anything, and the children can have their own opinion. So the push is on to start the dumbing down process at an early age.

Why waste time on trying to figure THAT out?  Why waste time period in school???  These kids are being let go without knowing a damn thing except how to get credit cards.   To heck with teaching them about GAYS...let's teach them something they can use before dumping them into the world. I think that's the point we are trying to make. Typical progressive...can't hear a thing ya say, just the word GAY, and head to the REASEARCH CENTER....

My first reaction is to have public education be as selective as the private schools. Let only the motivated attend public schools and let those who don't want to be educated attend private or charter schools. Cherry pick the students. That's how I would fix the problem.

Its not the teachers in general, its the whole government run system. But many teachers do support the system because they are a part of it. If we were really concerned about our next generation you would want to be telling them that homosexual men have a very good chance of dying in their mid forties due to infectious diseases. Or that the risk of anal cancer soars by like 4000% if you engage in homosexual activities. Or the increased rates of alcoholism, drug abuse, depression, suicide and other maladies that often accompany a homosexual lifestyle? Or that studies have established that homosexuality is more deadly than smoking, alcoholism, or drug addiction.
 AIDS remains the fifth leading cause of death among those aged 25-44, and 60% of new cases are contracted by men who have sex with men. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), homosexual men are a thousand times more likely to contract AIDS than the general heterosexual population. 30% of all 20-year-old homosexual men will be HIV positive or dead by the age of thirty. AIDS is just one disease that can be contacted from a homosexual lifestyle.
If we, or the teachers really cared about people. We would be demanding that they be taught the dangers of a homosexual lifestyle. But no, instead we are teaching the acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle under the banner of "tolerance". Not to mention the fact that it’s the evil spawn of multiculturalism, and part of the drive toward European style socialism.   
Grab the minds of children and you grab the minds of the next generation. The homosexuals and their agenda, depends on this teaching for their future. Without the promotion of homosexuality being healthy and normal, their agenda will end up being swept under the carpet.

One of ours is doing great after a charter school...making a lot better money than me already at 24.  Already paying taxes for the kids in public schools which don't seem to be doing as well in our city. So what gives you the idea there is no education in private or charter schools? 
The president of the United States sends his kids to a private school.  He doesn't want them to be educated?  Actually, in this state, charter schools have a better graduation rate, Detroit public schools got real bad, charter schools were the way to go.  The one we sent one our our boys to seemed to be ahead of the local public schools, and had much stricter teachers that called us all the time and let us know EVERYTHING.
The public school he was in didn't know he existed.  That's my experience.

Now I can agree with that...select WHAT your going to teach them, select the teachers, and boot out all the riff raff, because they are not graduating anyway.  If the majority of public schools were worth their salt there would not be any charter schools, they came about for a reason.  The reason people looked elsewhere was because they felt they had to.  I had to as well.  Not for me, but for him. He didn't like the charter school at first, because they honed in on him and MADE him learn.  He got used to it. 

I doubt the progressives will let you be selective in a public school, it's not the progressive left wing way to let YOU be selective. They do this for you.  They just need your money.  They will tell the teachers what to teach and how to teach.  Good teachers or not...it's all the same agenda.

I personally don't blame any president for what was already in place. Don't know of any but like drinking , smoking and many other behaviors when young minds are exposed to the idea they often try it with out the realization of the effects it may have on there lives later. They are not mature enough often to understand. When a parent , church , school or other source of leadership and responsiblity suggest something youth often trust it is a "good" thing even if it is not for them at the time. It seems that only  what some consider the positive side is taught not the negative also.
