Differences between Tikka lite and hunter??
« on: May 31, 2011, 09:33:35 AM »
Is the stock the only difference between the Tikka hunter and lite??  Is there a difference in barrel weight and length?

I have onne of each - 223 Lite/3006 hunter.  The barreld actions will shift from one stock to the other.  I believe the only diffference is the synthetic vs wood stock.  By the way when you swap the stocks the guns shoot about the same.  The wood stock is somewhat heavier also.

I have a .270 Win & a .338 win.  and I switched stocks.

I put the walnut stock on the .338  then the plastic one on the .270 and they both shot the same with either stock (under an inch).  The wood stock put the scoped .338 mag at about 8.25# which was a pound over what it weighed with the plastic one.  It needed the extra pound.
Vote them all out, EVERY election!

Does anyone remember the scene from "Quigley Down Under" showing the aborigines lined up on the skyline as far as you could see?   That needs to be US!
