I just figured there was one flavor of Danish, I'd been told I had relation come from ther and never really thought about the timeing of the influx of danish into the USA in this time frame, I'd never figured there were factions, folks that left Denmark because of conflict, the Schleswig-Holstein region.
The ones from the first war the 48'ers left for a diffrent reason than the ones from the second war 1864-1865.
I just figured my ancesters were tired of the land of ham, jam and hot chicks.
