Darned straight, Hooker.  Who are the worthy heroes and role models of the current generation to set an example of honesty, integrity, and honor?  There aren't any.  An era has passed and it is truly sad.

He was a mans man. I miss the days when there were actually people who could write a script without it being all sex and vulgarity and when they had actors who could act. POWDERMAN.  :( :(
Mr. Charles Glenn “Charlie” Nelson, age 73, of Payneville, KY passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his residence. RIP Charlie, we'll will all miss you. GB

This surprises me. James Aurness was about as good as it gets and the star of what is probably one of the best western TV series ever and this forum only has three responses so far to his death :(.
The Moto Guzzi Forum has 17 posts already, a dedicated motorcycle forum. Sometimes you all really surprise me and not in a good way.

The interaction of him, Fesus and Doc made this a great show. Now that early deputy Chester darn near made the show a failure.

A true American Icon he will be missed by all of us who grew up on the dusty streets of Dodge City. He and Dennis Weaver were both dedicated life long Vegaterains. It must have worked for Jim gone at age 88.

I sure enjoyed him in his acting career.
I wonder if Jeff Bridges is lining a move or tv series remake? :(

Earned a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for WW2 service. Yes, a Mans Man. Never heard nothing negative on His life. Growing up I would watch Seahunt then Have Gun Will Travel and at 10:00 Gunsmoke. Thank the Lord for giving us Memories....

Everything stops in the evening so we can relax and watch Gunsmoke. Marshal Matt, Kitty, Festus and Doc are great. Chester is tolerated. The shows with Festus are favorites. James Arness is missed.

With the exception to one or two, todays movie and television stars don't know what military service is.  Mr. Arness, I thank you for the wonderful childhood memories, and your military service.
