I mentioned to my wife how stupid obama was when he said we had 57 states.
she said no, he was including some arab states.

the libs have already started on sarah so I thought I'd mention this.

Actually, it was a Freudian slip; he forgot which nation he was supposed to be representing.  Get used to it.

People still get it wrong. He said he had been to 57 states with one left to go - so 58.  Then add on Alaska and Hawaii, which he was not planning to go to at all, and you have him thinking there are 60 states.  I think he didn't realize that the US isn't run the same way Chicago is run, with votes counted from  20% more precincts than actually exist.

Nah...just been correcting people on it for a few years.   Most fixated on the incorrect headline that claimed The One said there were 57 states.  Or maybe misinterpreted a headline something like "Obama says he has been to 57 states."  I figure if we are going to call The One, the Master Debater who never makes ANY mistakes when he talks (at least according to his tuchus lechers during the campaign), we need to be accurate on what he really said.
