I was just pondering if you took a shot gun barrell and did a casting of the bore some how could you the turn you insert barrel of your choise the same would this not work better for a good fit and solder it in place?
?

Thanks for the info kind of tthough this might have been doneneed to do like a Dan Wesson have a rim on the rear and threads on the front with a nut that way you could change barrel inserts of driffernt cal. at will just my two cents
