I hunt the Sulphur River WMA in SW Arkansas.  Pigs are everywhere.  I am unsure where St. Francis is, but iffin its got water running through or near it, the pigs will be there.    Good Luck To Ya...

St Francis is in SE Arkansas. It's eastern border is the Mississippi and the St Francis runs through it to join the Mississippi.  I'll try to contact them this weekend & get some more info.

I went down there yesterday with a buddy and did some scouting. We weren't in the woods fivew minutes when we flushed up a fawn not much bigger than a Bordr Collie.
We continued to explore and ended up seeing a ton of tracks from deer, pigs, turkey, raccon, and armadillo. Lotsa deer. As we continued our quest we found quite a bit of pig sign, mostly tracks and rooting. We couldn't find any droppings or tree rubs, but we did find a few old wallows.
Eventually we stumbled upon a group of about 1/2 a dozen or so, maybe more. They were about 75 yards away and the timber was pretty thick so there might've been babies with them.
Of the ones we did see I'd say the weight range was from 60-80 lbs to 200. THere was a large expanse of flooded ground between us & them and although we tried to circle around for a closer look, they became aware of our presence and bolted.
I think we ended up seeing around 7 deer  and two fawns. And a water moccasin.  I tell you, there's nothing like a productive day in the woods with one of your buddies.

Never hunted there but have fished Storm Creek.  A buddy drew a permit there last year but didn't fill it.  I think he saw one legal buck but probably was waiting for something bigger that never happened.
I've heard there are a lot of timber rattlers there but maybe the pigs are eating them.

It wouldn't surprise me if the pigs are eating them, they'll eat any damned thing.  I'm sure we'll head back down and kill a pig or two, but it's too damned hot right now. Maybe Sept or Oct.
