Yup you read that correctly, I have some agressive does on my place.  One just beat the snot out of my dog, a 35# mixed breed that is mostly border collie.  The agression is coming from the fact that there is at least two fawns in the front field.  We seem to have made it very attractive for the deer.  One of the fawns I found today (the one closest to where my dog was attacked) (Yes attacked by a Doe!!) is about 10" tall at the shoulder, and barely able to walk, still kinda wobbly on it's feet.  Cute as a button, but very fragile. 

Just a heads up if you're planning on bush hogging, or mowing hay watch for the lil ones.

Oh and no I did not get close enough to try to touch the fawn, just close enough for a good look.

Not necessarily the "docile" character old Walt Disney portrayed in "Bambi" is she?  I would not want to be on the receiving end of that butt whuppin'! 

A different kind than what yearling bucks, bachelor bucks and other doe get from dear old "Mom" when decent feeding grounds for the youngest offspring are being "guarded".  Standing on their hind legs flailing those front hoves.

I've seen videos of deer fighting each other, never thought one would stand up to a dog.  We know better now
