profitable weekend
« on: June 06, 2011, 04:51:55 PM »
Well, another gun show has come and gone. I took the Ruger sporter (finger groove) to the shoe Friday and got a fairly good price. I managed to get $600 for it. Not bad for a $190 investment. I came home with a 1946 Winchester mdl 97 16ga pump, another CZ-82, that one for the wife, now I can have mine back. And last but not least I brought home a M57 Yugo Tokarev.... I also managed to dodge the flying bullet Friday afternoon. Thank goodness I was in the back and that happened in the front...   Gary

Gary if you remember, I kinda warned you about this in an earlier post.  This is the third show in a row where an AD and parking lot thievery have been center stage.  I haven't been there for some time and probably never will return.

Congrats on the new toys though.  Sounds like you done good.  Hard to beat an old 97 in good shape and I ain't no shotgunner.

You did better than me.  I heard the gun go off.  It got real quiet after that!  I was disappointed with the show.  It seems to be better in the winter months.

Must have been a smaller caliber, it wasn`t very loud. from where I was it sounded like somebody dropped a pallet or something.... I went Friday and for about 45 min. on Sat. I had to pick up some ammo and I got the M57 (TT33). The M57 need some saftey work so I got a better deal ($160). other than that it is in very good shape... Gary

The AD was from a 40 Glock owned by a vendor.  The gun was promptly confiscated and the vendor given a permanent ban form the show before being taken to have his slight wound attended to.  What an idiot!
