Finally,a question for ME!
Don't know what kind of traps youm have, beut if they are coils, here goes.
Adjust the pan screw so the pan drops slowly under its own weight.
File the pan dog so there is about 1/16" left. You can shoot for 3/32  on the first few....might save you some file work!
Adjust the dog(after closing the eye) either in or out, depending on what you need for the pan to remain level,or just shallow,of the jaws.
Do this to all but beaver traps as mine are all the same whether yotes, fox or coon.

...or you can by a "Sullivan Pan Tension Tester" .  If Boggy dosent' have them or can't get them I believe T-man carries them.

I set the pan tension so it will hold up my pliars without firing.Should be O.K. for fox and coyote. At least I used to, now I just do it by feel.
I love the smell of coyote gland lure early in the morning. It smells like victory!!

I run about a pound to a pound and a half and use wire screen covers, very few sprung traps and only about 2 out of 10 toe catches. BTW I use modified bridgers and Sleepy creeks.....B.....

I wonder if this system will work; use 4 inch standard pliers for kit fox , 6 inch lineman for reds , 9 inch linesman for Bobs and 15 inch channel locks for coyotes?   :-D  :-D

Just couldn't resist the set up Coyoterooo
