XD40...Dude....a little too shrill. You're letting your emotions get in the way of rational discussion. I understand your argument, but you didn't get into teaching to have people empathize with you. At least, I hope not.

Yes, teaching is a tough profession, but remember why you entered into it in the first place.

It's still worth it...at least I think so. And really, that's all that matters, isn't it?

You guys are missing an important point.  Part of the problem, or should I say a major part of the problem with kids like this, are the parents.  My wife who is a teacher, tells me of kids who are a problem, and when the parents are notified.  Their answer was: your suppose to teach them.
When you have parents that shirk their parental responsibilities, you have kids that behave like this.
