I had some used cedar 2x6 lumber. I ran it through the planer down past the weathered scab and built a 4'x4' patio table. I used some old legs I had saved back and smoothed them out on the lathe. I set a piece of hardiboard in the center and will tile the top with some recycled tile from Another project. The tile had mortar stuck to it so I tried the grinder and a wire wheel treatment on them. It worked but was very slow. Then I remembered the 3/4 gallon of Reagent Grade HCl I had stored way back. I mixed it 2:1 in a 5 gal bucket and set the tile to soaking. My concentration may be a bit high but it is taking that old mortar off in a hurry. I'm going to have to keep soaking more tile until I get good use out of the acid. I'll post up some pictures later. I just came inside to take a break. It's purty darn hot here in South Texas today.
