two seventy ft. rows of orka thet ate last night, then they came down buy my house and ate my collard greens. they won't eat my squash. sonsabitches

i feel your pain but what were you gonna do with 140 ft of okra?were yu supplying a canning plant?you might think about getting a lil rat terrier like my dog maxamillan.max does not chase deer but he does keep them and other varmints out of the garden.he dont eat much and does a good job with the varmints.sorry bout yur collards also, i could go for a mess of them rite now.

Yes a small or medium sized dog will scare off most deer.  A small really loud noise maker does a good job of keeping them from being too comfortable in your yard and garden also.

But be prepared to defend your dog during the first couple weeks following  fawn birthing.

Run a line with a good fence charger hoked up.Every few feet put some tin foil with peanut butter on it.Once they try that recipe they will avoid it.

That would sure get their attention. I imagine they wouldn't want to come back. I will have to try that. They hop the electric fence and eat up the food plots for my sheep.

The dog works. I plant a manure crop in the winter on the garden spot. In winter they were out there day or night 35 yards from the house. Would lift their head up with a mouth full of greens and not run off when we walked by. Have had a dog outside for 4 or 5 years and the deer won't come near the garden anymore.

The guy at the farm store who told me to put peanut butter on an electric fence called it cheap entertainment.

turn it off then put the peanut butter on it, leave it off for a few times.  Then, put it on "house current" or in weed burn mode if ya got one capable.  You'll have the curliest haired deer in the county.
