New to the H&R club
« on: June 13, 2011, 04:41:33 PM »
I had an empty space in the gun volt and no 22 mag so I picked up a new H&R Sportster in that cal now would like to pretty it up a little. I am more for wood than composit so what will interchange if I were to swap the composit for some fairely nice wood?
I put a scope that I had on it but have not had a chance to shoot it yet.

www.gunstocksinc.com offers some nice choices.
I bought the walnut varmint forearm. good fit.

The H&R CR45 wood looks really good on one, gives it nice traditional kind of personality.

Mind you that the CR has a shorter forearm than the BC and TM. Though some like the longer look, I think the CR length balances to the shorter barrel nicely. If you get a good buy on BC wood, go ahead, and maybe trade for the CR forearm or buy one from H&R (it can get touchy to match wood though) and/or sell the longer one here on the classifieds.
