You have to know swampys past and present. Hes a normal conversation piece in the moderation room. Wheres he is allowed to get away with it, he just slanders his bs and starts trouble with other members. My suggestion  is to get in the mod room and get some info on this poster.

"As New" or "NIB" are what you looking for.

I chuckle at the term As New or Like New, what a fancy term for Used. If a firearm has been shot once or 5000 times, its Used plain and simple.

we have one advantage over most  here. I dont think theres to many gunshops up here that i dont know the owner personaly and i dont know of one that isnt honest. Also up here there arent a ton of handloaders. MOst rilfes on the rack that are used have probably less the 5 boxes of shells through them. It doesnt make me nervous when buying one because I know that most of the owners probably only tried corelocks in it because there cheaper to buy and very few guys get so involved that they buy two differnt brands to try. Had to laugh last summer. I do crop damage shooting with my buddy and his brother. His brother is quite a bird. hes a heavy drinker and a 65 year old pot smoker and probably goes a 100 lbs soaking wet. I watched him shoot the first year i met him and was pretty impressed. He had a model 700bdl in 2506 and i watched him make more they a couple 300 yard shots. One day i asked him what ammo he used and reached into his  pocket and pulled out some ammo and there were at least 3 differnt brands of ammo. I then unloaded his gun and found 3 rounds in it. One was corelock (he didnt know the weight) one was one of those black winchester bullets. and the third was a federal. I had to shake my head. Here i spend countless hours and dollars finding a load that shoots into a tiny group. Just for grins we put up a target and I shot the 3 in it at the 100 yard target and shot a 2 3/4 inch group. Now ive never seen this character miss so it goes to show you that a guy sure doesnt need 3/4 inch groups  for a hunting gun.

All manfacturers are falliable to some degree, some chose to ignore problems for decades with the hope that they will go away.

This is one of those cases that we personally  knew about 40 years ago and it really goes all the way  back to 1948.

If I owned a Remington in this series I would replace the trigger with an after market trigger.

I don't believe anything the Lame Stream Media says.  If you do, that's ok with me.  I put Walker triggers on 700s that don't have them.

I thought you posted a while back that you liked the new remington Xpro triggers. Now your saying you replace remington triggers with the old style Walker triggers.......    You change your mind like most people change their socks.

I replace aftermarket triggers with old Walkers that haven't had the safety boogered up by returning them to the factory for the mod.

The 1st gen. X-Mark Pros are very good but not as good as the original design.
