Great find, thanks for posting it. 

Things like this point out how young our Republic is. This guys father was in the Civil War.  And likely knew Rev. War Vets. Three lifetimes and they span our history.

I knew a Span Am war vet.  His dad was in the Civ. War, and likely he knew Rev. War vets.  4 handshakes.

Brewster, that's a real treasure right there!!! There are only 30 or so Real Sons of Confederate veterans left, and I don't know how many real daughters are left. Oh, the stories these folks could tell. They are the only true links to the War and there are fewer than 60 left, North or South. How would I love to sit and talk to these folks for a while...
