i shot one of the high standard double nine .22,s with the alumanim frame to death in the 80,s, it went out of time so bad that it spit lead all over the place, the hand slot wore and left the hand flop around and not lock up. high standard would not fix it,a local gunsmith shimmed the hand making it wider and snug again with the hand slot,i sold it quick. i have since shot S&W,ruger and colt steel framed double and single actions more with no problems. no alloy framed revolvers for me. eastbank.
