ummm yea ive seen it, not in person, just on rugers site.not real happy about it.looks like im gonna have to have one.if thats not the ultimate 22 single action revolver id like to know what is.

Seems everyone's all excited about this. Me...just don't get the allure. a few extra shots per cylinder...yeah so? People will start whining it takes to long to reload next.

I'm sure the gun writers will be proclaiming it a radical new departure when in fact it only holds one more round than my dad's old H&R 922 which I learned to shoot back in the 50's. Nothing wrong with it but if I felt the need for 10 shots I'd go with my S&W 22A, it can waste ten rounds really fast, slap in another mag and waste ten more.

if i get one it wont be for a few years till the price goes down on the used ones when they start to appear on the market.by then we will know how often the sights fall off and prob have sum good aftermarket options.

i thought this ruger SP101 in .22 was one of the best mid frame .22,s made. i guess i was wrong as it went the way of the do do bird. eastbank.

Looks like a fine offerieng....if yea like single action it could be fun....ye the sights might have issues or be just ugly for some....still waiting on a new DA .22 revolver from Ruger though....

Think I like my old High Standard Double Nine better. 9 shot, DA with interchangeable cylinders in .22lr and .22mag. Oh. and the cylinder swings out like most DA revolvers for quick and easy reloading.

i shot one of the high standard double nine .22,s with the alumanim frame to death in the 80,s, it went out of time so bad that it spit lead all over the place, the hand slot wore and left the hand flop around and not lock up. high standard would not fix it,a local gunsmith shimmed the hand making it wider and snug again with the hand slot,i sold it quick. i have since shot S&W,ruger and colt steel framed double and single actions more with no problems. no alloy framed revolvers for me. eastbank.

Ruger has a new sp101 8 shot with 4.3" barrel coming soon!(I hear Aug 1st)

Have handled one in person recently. Went in thinking... Naw... just go for the Super Single Six Convertible...

But, the grips on it are somewhat flatter and seem to have a very very slight depression in them. Points better as a result.

Agreed, the "glow in the dark" sights are as much a distraction as an aiming aid. But then I grew up shooting the standard Ruger partridge sights and would even prefer them in my rifles with iron sights.

All in all, nicely made as Rugers generally are. Tough choice between that and a Mk II or III in stainless to be sure. I definitely want one, LOL!

i have a single six not nearly as accurate as my mk2 with bull barrel .going to try the mag cylinder and see if it is any better.
