I don't agree with what he has done, BUT we live in America where FREEDOM of SPEECH is supposed to be granted. He has a right to speak what he wishes. He shouldn't be attacked and mobbed for it. You don't see conservatives shouting down a liberal speaker even though they don't agree with him. WHERE IS THE TOLERANCE FROM THE LEFT, ESPECIALLY TOWARDS CHRISTIANS. I agree with Pastor Terry Jones, but don't agree with his methods. ISLAM is a cancer to the world. LOOK at their women's rights. LOOK at their tolerance to other religions, not just Christianity, but Hinduism, Buddism, etc. I know an Indian (from India) and he hates Muslims. He said all they do is want to fight, or force people to do things their way. If a Muslim converts to Christianity, they can be killed by their families. They can rape someone of another religion, and not be charged. They are still in the dark ages. Only one generation ago, they were still camel jockies. They haven't gone through a reniasance or reformation. They can be tolerated, but not give in to.

I dont get why the left which professes to be the gaurdians of equal rights especially gay rights and womens rights is now waving the banner of Islam a group which will act violently to supress the rights of gays and women. Seems kind of counter productive and stupid.

Terry Jones is trying to wake the world up to what islam really is, a fast growing vile cancer. I don't agree with some things he has done but agree that the world needs to hear the truth about this godless death cult. What are you expecting Muslims or authorities there to do? Jackass Jones is there trying to cause trouble - what would you consider an appropriate response on the part of the Muslims he's on his way to insult and harass? I understand how he might hold some appeal for you. He hates the same folks. Jones comes across as not too bright, simplistic, sees the world in black and white, and... evinces no fruits of the spirit, at least in public, when comes to people who aren't like him. Why did the Taliban blow up 2,000 year old statues of Buddah in Afganistan? Why do they fight Hindu India? Why do they want to fight the West? Why do they use suicide bombers? Where did I write that anyone confronted him directly? I am pretty sure I wrote "They sure have done their best" in reference to muslims attempting to disrupt him. Muslims murdered people and used Terry Jones as an excuse. They would have murdered on that day anyway but at least they had a christian boogey man to blame.

I am so sick of this hypocrisy. One group has the right to speak out with almost absolute impunity while another is silenced out of P.C. concerns. I dont like nor condone Terry Jones or his actions but he has just as much right to run his mouth as a bunch of muslims or anyone else does.

The better question would be, where was Pastor Jones' love, peace and tolerance? One gets the impression that poor Jones was persecuted for exercising his 1st Amendment rights, but that isn't the truth. And by the way... re: this Jones character... isn't his a 'religion of peace', apart from the Westboro loonies and other that want another crusade and to persecute homosexuals... and maybe shoot a few Mexicans at the border?
