Nice gun, enjoy it. You hear a lot of guys talk about "fixin this", "replacing that", or "improving whatever". The nice thing about Kimber 1911's is they are good solid guns, right from the factory, and ready to go, no "updating" needed. I have three, plus a .22 conversion kit, and they are better made, and more accurate then my series 70 & 80 Colt Gold Cups. Can't beat that Colt Royal Blue for looks though.. R/E the Sigs- I just tried out a friends new P290 - The new plastic sub-compact 9mm. I was shocked at the poor, gritty trigger pull. I let him try my Glock 26, and I think he would have traded on the spot, if I was willing...lol
Oh yea, and that model 10 - no flies on it. Note to date myself, but when I started in LE, I used a Smith 66, and later a 586. With lots of D/A practice, I never felt better armed. Knew I had 6 shots, right there, on target, right now, real fast like. It was a sad day when we switched to that new fangled Beretta 92 9mm. I had the honor of knowing the first person shot with that new gun, on duty, and the trooper who shot him (under a table, at a road side dinner, while playing with their new guns) Fortunately, only in the calf, and neither will ever live it down...lol
