Sounds like a statement to me.  What's your question?

Wayne,.... Thanks for the reply!!.... I guess my question is, Does the compression sound 'bout right for this "lot" of powder?? It's ben too danged cold (and busy) here, to git out to do any load test'n. :D

Sorry 'bout the confusion, I thot my initial post looked a little "dumb"!!

rollingb..When I work up a load for a new rifle,I start with no compression and load only ten at a time. from there I increase the compression by .050.You will see the groop shrink someware down the line, when it get larger again go back to the last good groop and cut that by .025 and see what happens.next I work with the primers, then bullet and alloy.
I know that is a long drawn out affair. Then again you might find one right off.
I have a .45-70  Browning I thought I would never find a load for that I was satisfied with, but it shoots now with slight changes once in while when things change, like climet or powder.
If you like to do it by weight instead of volume go with a 1/2 grain at a time.
I like to use a dipper I cut from a case then drop tube it seat a wad and compress it.
Just something to think about
Dont go were the path leads,go were there is no path and leave a trail.

Best I can tell you is that your load looks OK for a start.  Goex tends to do better with some compression, and .30 is not excessive.  Shoot it and that will be the proof of the pudding.

Shilouette shooters will tell you that a chage in the lot of the powder may change accuracy, necessating a change in compression or even primer.  That's why they tend to by power in case lots, cause they get all the same lot in the case.  Don't have to work up a new load quite as often.

Thanks Wayne,..... I finished a case of Goex with a different "lot" no., and this time I only bought 11 pounds. The compression I stated is what proved the best with my last case of Goex. It's been so cold and boreing here since the cold spell settled in, that I thought I'd just ask my question here in case someone was shoot'n the same stuff. I hate working up loads, when it's so cold, becasuse it's difficult for me to know "what's" going on exactly with the "fouling" and I shake so much that nearly ALL my shots are "fliers"!! :)  :D
