Tang Safety International
« on: June 23, 2011, 06:29:59 PM »
I am looking at a 308 Tang Safety International.  What are the reputations for accuracy with this rifle.  I dont have to have tack driving accuracy, hunting accuracy is sufficient, but I dont want a headache either.  Thanks for the help.

I have three Ruger tang safety rifles. All three of them are sub MOA shooters. My tang safety .308 yields three shot clover leafs (three touching). My .308 tang safety is the M77.
Hunting and fishing are not matters of life or death. They are much more important than that.

ive got a tang safety international in 250-3000. It shoots 1.5 inches at a 100 yards with loads it likes and id guess your 308 would do about the same.

Thanks all.  If I get a chance to go back, it may come home with me.

I had a tang safety international in 250-3000.  5 shot 100 yard groups well under an inch.  And no that wasn't just once either. Killed a truck load of woodchucks with that rifle. Sure wish i had it back.

I have a Ruger International, .308 caliber, shoots about 1.5 in at 100 yards with 150 grain speer handloads & H-380. It has the tang safety, and red butt plate. It has a Burris 1 X 5 scope on it. Make me an offer..!!!

I bought it new about 30 years ago. Only hunted with it three or four times. Excellent condition.

+1 on the 308. Bought mine in 1984 I believe, was my go to cedar swamp whitetail rifle for many years, just brought it back out of the safe last year to run some 150gr handloads through it, normaly used 165. It did not dissapoint. Crash87
