refinishing a holster/ changing a color...
« on: June 28, 2011, 09:25:42 AM »
i have a black holster and it has some scuffs on it. i would like to kind of restore it.

any way to get the scuffs out and to maybe even change it to a dark brown color? not a fan of black holsters, but it was a freebie and it fits my gun great!

thanks
joe

Joe. I think its lost cause, unless your holster is olny black on the outside and hope you don't care how smooth the finish is.
its easy to make a light buckskin holster dark but to make a dark lighter, sorry don't think so

Been there, done that...  :-\   Just yesterday as a matter of fact!   ;D

Like the Kid says, and everybody else I asked before I tried it (I just gotta try everything myself!   ::)  ) it is a lost cause!

I don't like black either... well, maybe if I'm going to a formal shoot-out...  ???
