Heather, it breaks my heart to say it, but I think it's right around the corner.
and sadly, are there enough patriots to stop it.  I'm ready to do all I can.

It looks like a distinct possibility..Prof Alexander Tyler's theory (1780) seems to be right on pace..

Sadly we are well on our way. Karl Marx would be very proud of our income tax/welfare system - To each according to his needs, from each according to his ability.

We were headed in that direction until the November 2008 election sent Bush & Company home.  I'm sure you don't agree, but at least stop and think about what was going on in October 2008.   We were losing two wars and on the brink of financial collapse.  If America elects clones of Bush & Company in November 2012, get ready for another Great Depression by November 2013.  Start preparing you and yours for 10 years or so of life without banks, electricity, hospitals and nursing homes.

Junior, nobody believes that crap.  In November, 2008, unemployment was 6.7%.  Now it's 9.1%.  The national debt went up 4.9 trillion under 8 years of Bush.  It has gone up 3.7 trillion under less than 2 1/2 years of Obama.  At that rate, it'll have gone up more in 4 years of Obama than 8 years of Bush.   ::)

Today's circa $4 per gallon price is 100% Obama's fault.  He designed BP's blowout preventer.

And that is exactly what most will do Matt! Look at the post's on here............D's vs R's
The D's blame the R's for every bad thing that happens and the R's blame the D's

Funny thing is!............They are both right, and too pig headed to see it.! They will tell you they like most of what Paul say's but he is not electable. Isn't that a brilliant statement? This nation is like an alcoholic, and must bottom out, to get better.  Too bad our children will be the ones to see the worst of it! DOOM AND GLOOM TALK? Yep. If Paul had won in '08 he might have made a difference.  It's too late now to save us finacially.  We need well over 50 trillion in the next 25 years plus the trillions we already owe to pay for SS, Medicare, etc.  Unless we grow the economy exponentially, its not possible.

We're got one; he was elected according the constitution. He won the electoral college - heck, he even won the popular vote by a good margin (at least he got a majority, something Dubya couldn't manage first time around).

I mean no disrespect sir, but I believe you are missing an element of our Constitution that lays out what makes a person eligible for the office of President of the United States of America. In order to become President you must be a "natural born citizen". I don't' care that he didn't show his birth certificate for years, or even if he was born in Hawaii or not. The fact remains that a "natural born citizen" as defined in the Constitution, is a person born to both parents that are AMERICAN CITIZENS. His official birth certificate states that his father was a citizen of Kenya and NOT America. Therefore, he is an UNCONSTITUTIONAL president by its very definition.

I thought that if your mom is an American, and you're born in America... that makes you an American, too. Have I learned something new, here?

I think most of the birthers are more bothered by the President's polytics, than by his birthplace, or his Mom, or his Dad.

If you are born on US soil whether your parents are citizens or not, then you are a citizen, but a "natural born citizen" by its definition is children born to parents (plural) that are American citizens. You can be a citizen without being a "natural born citizen" Yes, the birthers missed the main reason for his ineligibility. I do not approve of most of his policies based on my beliefs of what the Government should or should not be able to do. I don't know if you have noticed, but I am a strict Constitutionalist. There are also several court rulings that further expound on this definition making it clear that in order to become president Both of your parents must be American citizens with no ties to foreign sovereignties.

Oh.

In other news... the persecution has started! A preacher has been assaulted for preaching against homosexuality. The Preacher, James Edward Belcher of Taylorville, NC, says this assault was "just one of many attempts to silence the preaching to those in need of salvation who practice a death style that they call a .lifestyle!"

Thank God he survived the assualt. Maybe this talk about the coming persecution is something we should all take very, very seriously. Read the full story here:

This is a joke right?

It is no joke. A Man of God has been assaulted for preaching against a Death Cult, and you dismiss it? That's the way the perverts want it in this country!

This is serious - so serious, it now gets its own thread:
http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php/topic,236591.0.html

This is serious, Heather, and I do not appreciate you making light of it. Yeah, the guy survived the assault and he'll heal, but what about the next time?

.....If you are born on US soil whether your parents are citizens or not, then you are a citizen, but a "natural born citizen" by its definition is children born to parents (plural) that are American citizens.
No, that is your definition.  Here's mine: a child born via natural birth, i.e., a C-section child can't be president.  Adopted children of uncertain male parentage can't be president.  All candidates for the office of POTUS must present DNA evidence that the father listed on their birth certificate is their biological father.

Unreasonable, huh?  Well, that's the can of worms you open if your definition becomes law.
