TM says;
" That's right ...Moslems, Christians, and Jews lived fairly harmoniously for a millennia until the zionists took over and started the massacres, theft, genocide, and apartheid.....with support of their co-religionists."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A slight correction is in order;
For well over 600 years Jews and Christians lived more harmoniously than Israel does now with Islam threatening it's borders daily...simply because Muhammad had not yet dreamed up Islam. Think it over; the Ishmaelites claim all kinds of landmarks as "holy sites". These sites were held by Jews or Christians while the Ishmaelites were still bowing to rocks, stars and their "Moon-god" (hence the crescent moon as their symbol).
Islam is a Johnny-come-lately upstart... Could it be just another way for some of the Ishmaelites to spread their spiritually inherited hate to others..
.
Historically incorrect and perspective incorrect. Jews from the outset were anti-Christian and vice versa...perhaps you remember what happened to Jesus? Jesus was needed to be linked back to the OT as per anti-semitism tenents.....aylon, etc. as people had had enough. Gaza has always been Egyptian territory anyway..not Palestinian, and still is...they allowed Palestinians to flee genocide to that region....now we see gas and reserves are there.....oooops. Co-relgionist christians villify Palestinians, moslems at behest of their owners, and nwo agendi. True Christians don' t buy into this stuff and try to practice the Word....Jesus was, is, and always has been and will be....not some occult future fantasy. "We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal".....happy 4th!!.
Correction again TM;
The scribes and pharisees were anti-Christian, not necessarily the entire population. Jesus called the a number of the pharisees "hypocrites" and a "generation of vipers".. he didn't refer to all Jews that way. After all, Jesus was born of a Jewish mother. most of the disciples were Jewish and he instructed them to take the gospel "first to Jerusalem" !
On the miraculous day of Pentecost alone over 3,000 residents of jerusalem were brought into the fold.
Concerning the first 600 years of Christianity; many of the earliest churches were founded in Jerusalem and environs at that time..the Church of the Nativity, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre etc. Although there may have been some friction at times, there was not the evil, wholesale shedding of blood by terrorist means at that time.
This is borne out in Acts ch 5... where Gamaliel, one of the greatest Rabbis of the time called for "peaceful coexistence"...
( From Acts 5)
29 But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. 31 Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
33 When they heard this, they were furious and plotted to kill them. 34 Then one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in respect by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a little while. 35 And he said to them: “Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. 36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. 37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. 38 And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; 39 but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”
Another corretion..TM says;
" If Paul had not come along it is possible moslems would have turned out Christian...certainly Mohammed sat down and codified that distinction. The jews were banished from the area."
Correction..the Ishmaelites were converted into Muslims by Muhammad, and nobody else. You seem to have a real hangup with Paul, The same Paul that was accepted by all the apostles, the same Paul who considered his mission to be to the gentiles, the same Paul which peter heeded whae Paul told him to go to the Jews..then go eastwards.
Perhaps you resent Paul because he was instrumental in taking the west (Europe) into the Christian fold and thus providing the impetus for Christian forces under Chas Martel, to kick Muslim butts out of the west at the battle of tours, in Oct 732...
