Ammo for 7mm-08

If you don't handload and you are looking for a good cartridge to shoot in the 7mm-08 would you guys recommend the Hornady Light Magnums over standard velocity rounds. The only info that I gotten from around here is that the standard velocity rounds seem to perform better in the short action rifles. Thanks

Do a search under 7m-08.  You will find several here, including Graybeard, that really like the Hornady litemags.  The 7m-08 shoots almost anything well.

The only factory loads I've used in our 7-08s in the last 20+ years are the original RP 140 CLSP and the two Hornady Light Mag loads. The old RP load worked fine for me for many years and no doubt still will. BUT I now use only the Hornady Light Mags and prefer the 139BTSP as it shoots a wee bit more accurately in my rifle than the SST does. Both do under an inch regularly tho in my rifle.
