Gas check dies?
« on: January 01, 2004, 05:24:29 PM »
Anyone know who besides Corbin that is currently making dies to form gas checks? I know Corbin makes good stuff, but I'm not wanting to spend the kind of $ they want for as much use as I'd get from the dies. I think Hanned has gone belly-up, so they're out too? Any info would be appreciated or if some of you kind folks would care to part with some of yours....... I'm primarily interested in 50 cal. (.500, not .511), but would also be interested in 45 (452 not 457), 44, 35, 30, and 22.  Thanx in advance. :D

Hanned may be out of business, but check the " Bullet casting" board under the thread " Homemade Gas Checks". Graybeard has indicated that the owner may have some gas check dies available and has posted a phone number.  8)
