Wanting a custom rifle built.
« on: July 05, 2011, 12:30:34 PM »
I am wanting to have a custom rifle built for my son for a graduation present. Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith that builds rifles? I live in N.E. Oklahoma. Thanks in advance.

A little info would help.... Bolt gun,semi-auto? caliber? What will he use it for?..........
This only proves that, when allowed to act outside his lawfully limited authority,a U.S. President is capable of unleashing horrendous violence against the lives, liberty, and property of those he pretends to serve...........

It will be a bolt action, I am thimking in 7mm mag or 300 win mag. I am wanting a real nice gun that he will be able to hand down to his kids but don't have fortune to spend either. Thinking around the 3k mark.
Thanks
David

hale:  you can do what you want for one heck of a lot less than $3000 and still give your a beautiful custom rifle that can easily become a family heirloom.  For example, a new Kimber, whatever model but in your caliber choice, with a custom stock or some personal engraving, or a new Mauser that has some custom stock or engraving work, possibly a inlaid family emblem or something; and there are others but I think you can make yourself happy for a lot less.  Just throwing out a few suggestions.  HTH.

My friend had a 6.5 x 47 lapua built by GAP (Georgia Precision) and he couldnt be more pleased with it.  I would suggest giving them a call.
