Did you have the 22" or the Talo length fitted?  Did you call for availability prior to sending in your frame?  With your fast turnaround I think now is the time for my first 357 barrel.

I got the standard 22 inch barrel for her.  If she wants it shorter we can always chop it.
Yes, I called first to confirm it was in stock.  I'm not sure they have any more Talo barrels.

The strange things are I had included credit card information with the written order that went in with the frame, and it came UPS COD ::) ::)   The card gets paid in full monthly, and has an outlandish credit limit which I'll never use. The other thing was the frame was separated from the barrel and were clanging around inside the box when I got it.  I opened it immediately, and found no damage done.  It must have happened very recently.  Anyhow, I'll call CS in the morning about both issues.  I just want to make sure they didn't bill the card AND send it COD.

I did not order a .357 barrel but I did send in receiver with a transfer bar issue and ordered a .243 BB and thumbhole stock. That was on June 24th and it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow, less than two weeks from my ship date. Hope everything is in order when it arrives tomorrow but pretty doggone quick turnaround time!!!! Very pleased so far with their service and ownership of warranty issues.

Tom, you gonna make the shoot?  5th, 6th and 7th.  I put it together for her tonight, syn stock and red dot that she wants.  I'll put it on paper for her in the morning and she can dial it in where she wants it after supper.

Pete,

The shoot is on my calendar but my wife has a new job and has to work every other weekend.   I will not know if she is working that weekend for a couple of days.  Hope I can make it as I plan on loading a bunch of trail boss rounds for the 45-120 so folks who don't think a separated shoulder is fun can shoot it. ;)

She's not much on deer hunting any more, and when she does, she uses her .270, so it'll probably stay the way it is for plinking and pests.

Tom, what's the chances of her swapping weekends with someone if she gets stuck with it?  I hope you make it and bring that 120.  It is sure to inspire "shock and awe".
With full loads, it'll be fun on the 275 yard gongs.

Pete,

I have some 300 grain Jacketed for the 45-120 that will get to your 275 yard gong fairly quickly.  What I am working on is a cast lead 525 grain load w/ TB that will be close to zero @ 100 yards and without changing the scope have the high velocity jacketed good for your 275 yard gong.

I'll let you know how my wife's schedule works out.

Very good to hear... Remington has gotten some bad press as of late, so it's nice to hear some good news! I've always been a big Remington man...

It bothers me that the pieces were rattling around in the box; somebody in shipping NEEDS more training (and/or a 'packed and shipped by' slip in there to find out who isnt doing their job).
