Obama wants to bring more terrorists to the US... Some people never learn...
1) the terrorist gets all the rights & privileges of an American citizen..he shouldn't.
2) The trial will be very costly, Holder has been asked to submit estimate of total costs.
3) It will endanger people in the same city where the trial is held.
4) It could turn into a media circus, orchestrated by the Al Queda.
5) It may prompt more terrorist attacks.
6) Last case tried that way, they were lucky enough to have 285 separate charges against the terrorist....the govt flubbed 284 of them and only got a small conviction on one..
Of course, the main problem is that BHO's communist base wants to close Club Gitmo.. but he doesn't have the stones to 'fess up' to the truth !

The obamination is the most shameless piece of dirt to ever hold office, and thats a pretty big pile. Our Senator Mcconnel is still trying to get the feds to take the 2 scum from here to gitmo, obama says NO, he wants them to have the same rights as Americans. What an embarassment he is. POWDERMAN.

If a savage rapist/murderer named Joe Blow from Kokomo faces lethal injection, does he get to speak to the Mexican counsel to try to get away with murder ?
This piece of scum was pretending to be an American, living in America and raped/murdered an American..Mexico nor he have a legitimate beef !
Incidently the Vienna law the bleeding hearts here have been clinging to...is just that; A VIENNA law ! It was brought up before and rejected by our congress.

All those who are itchin' for some blood, and unhappy that the law and concern for the well-being and rights of Americans abroad might slow the process a bit... relax. There will be a killin' soon enough.

Though probably not really needed... perhaps those concerned about a disappointment due to delay could pray that God will speed the execution process, and that the convicted be put to death without any troublesome further delay? Something like this:

"Dear Lord, PLEASE don't let this business about Vienna somethingorother impede the killing of Mr Leal! Please, Lord, in your mercy... remove from our ears any word of delay, and let us hear of blood... we want to see that illegal immigrant dead, and NOW!"

or something like that...

Hmmm... I thought all men were created equal, and endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. I'll guess that a jury trial and legal protections aren't included in that unalienable rights package?

We are at war with foreign Terroists. Gitmo is a POW camp. Terroists are enemy combatants. They get military tribunals. They are not citizens of the US. A citizen will get an American trial.

If this was about the "Law" it would have been introduced to the court long ago. This move is just to impress illegals. I wonder if they know the voter ID law passed in TX this year? Wasn't it this week the feds were pushing for a death sentence for a mexican national that killed a border parole agent?

FYI..The Declaration of Independence was written by east coasters, for east coasters and moved westward with United States as ity expanded. At that point in history, Mexico was ruled by an absolute monarch of the Bourbon family and thus, was not in the least interest in the "rights of man"
In fact, at that point in history, the fledgling United States was, for all intents and purposes, the only country interested in such ideas.

Wow, just read this thread and surprisingly enough we heard from both sides of the issue.

Here's my 2 cents... I believe and support the death penalty for certain crimes. However, I would gladly support the complete abolition of the death penalty if we as a nation would also abolish abortion on demand and stop killing in the womb.

BTW, Leal was executed for his crime. He only brought up his former nationality when it was convenient for him to do so. We must secure our borders, not all who come from Mexico are doing so for a better life. We are getting many criminals as well.
