new 25.06 for me

 ;D got a new to me H&R  ultra today in 25.06  with a tasco  pronghorn scope 3-9X40 not the  greatest scope in the world but will work till i or if i change it. for now works for me. the ultras are a pretty good looking rifle . first rifle i have owned with a laminated  stock (brown) and checkering . cool! ;D this is the third h&r , handi i have owned a .243 handi and a 22.250 varmint heavy fluted barrel. want to get to the range some time soon. hope it cools down some time real soon these 100* days take to much out of me at 65 yr old  ;)

Congrats! Mine likes 115 grain Nosler Partitions... shoots them into a .75 three shot group at 100 yards.

Congrats! If you're lookin for factory ammo suggestions, Federal 115gr Nosler Partitons, Hornady 117gr BTSP and Rem 120gr Core-lokts all shoot good in mine, 2 shots touching at 100yds and a third opening the group to ~1"......that's out of the box.  ;)  I hunted with it one year, the 26" barrel is just too uncomfortable to carry for me, but it sure shoots lights out.

Congratulations!!  Been so long since I fired mine, couldn't tell ya how good it shoots.  Well, I could but I'd be makin it up. :-[ ;D   Guess I better bring her up front in the safe so she gets to go play.  Now which safe is that one in? :-\   DP
