22 hornet barrel for old topper

In 1985 I had an 22 Hornet H&R Topper reamed to 223 for a gold hunting trip to the Australia Outback.  I have never been really pleased with this conversion as .223 seem to have a lot of misfires in the H7R.  How does one go about getting a 22 hornet barrel for an older topper?

The Hornet barrels show up from time to time.
 
Another alternative is to rechamber it to 225 Winchester.  I did that with my 223 and it has never given me any trouble.  I like rimmed cartridges in these rifles.

The Topper barrel wouldn't be suitable for the 225 Win, breech thrust with top loads at 60kpsi would be 8392 lbs which is way beyond the platform strength limit, both for the cast iron frame and the soldered/brazed underlug, even the 223 Rem is questionable at 6107 lbs breech thrust at 55kpsi. For comparison, the 30-30 @42kpsi has 5819 lbs breech thrust.

Have you considered installing a Wolf hammer spring to boost the hammer strike?  I think this could help set of the primers and it's a cheap modification...

More than a weak hammer spring it might be a limited firing pin protrusion, especially if there is a little headspace issue from the rechamber.
