3-D Printer

This is amazing!   I understand Kel-tec used this technology in the development of the PMR-30.  They actually "printed" a working prototype of the gun before they made any molds or dies for the machining of it.

I've had one of these in my classroom for around 10 years now.
And they are extremely cool. If you can model it, they can make it.

The one in my classroom is the Dimension 3D printer.
We use AutoDesk Inventor software for our modeling.
We had Solidworks in the past and it worked well for modeling also.

If I had one of these back when I was an engineer I would have been a hero regularly.
Design it and print it right on the spot, instant prototype to test with.
Most use ABS plastic as the media which is fairly durable.
