"Not Between Brothers"
« on: January 02, 2004, 01:09:34 PM »
By David Marion Wilkinson.

A retired Texas Ranger recommended this 650 page book.  I agree with him it is the best epic I have read since "Lonesome Dove".

A young fellow leaves Lousiana with his cousin and goes to Texas.  Along the way you read about Stephen Austin, Sam Houston, The Alamo, Santa Anna.  He becomes involved with a aristocratic Mexican family and a Commanche.

It was hard to put down.
