Beautiful deer. Maybe you get lucky like a friend of mine who shot this one's twin brother except it was the opening day of primitive weapons season (1st Saturday in Oct.). This was about 15 years ago in South Georgia. The velvet had not been rub off anywhere. The game warden walked up on my friend while he was filling out one of his tags. The game warden said he had never seen a buck go that far into the year with his velvet and wanted to take it in to a game biologist (spell taxidermist) to have it check. To make a short story long, my friend kept it and had it mounted.
