Hanoi Jane cries that she's being punished for her past political views. The Hollywood elites feel they are beyond reproach. I won't see any movie, or allow my wife to buy anything associated with this female dog.

OSR. Agreed Sir. Hanoi jane should have been found guilty of treason 40 yrs ago. When she went to hanoi, giving aid and comfort to our enemy, an American pow slipped her a note, the traitor gave it to the gooks who then beat the man mercilessly, almost killed him. Boohoo for her. POWDERMAN.

Yep,... I like the old westerns but changed the channel today when "Comes a horseman" came on.
She has the exact opposite of the ethics of the American cowboy and my own. I'll change the channel any time I see her face.

The punishment for treason is capital. In addition to other horror stories I saw men die in the hospital waiting for the star to show up and cheer their day. Alas Jane was up North sitting on a cannon. Now even the socialists and communists in holy-weird won't talk to her.

Can't remember the nva generals name but he wrote a book after the war. He said that they were getting ready to give up but people like hanoi jane and john kerry gave him hope because they convinced him that America was weak. Thousands of Americans died needlessly because of traitors like them. POWDERMAN.

The Generals name was: Vo Nguyen Giap, he was also the architect of the French defeat at Dien Bien Phu.

You know, Powderman, I don't always agree with everything that you say, but in this issue I have to TOTALLY agree with you and OldSchollRanger. Greatest respect for her father Henry---But ABSOLUTELY NONE for her. She should still be tried for TREASON. But, we all know that with the leadership of this country, that won't happen. While I agree with most of the opinions on here regarding Jane Fonda,we need to watch the words or expressions used to describe her on this (family) oriented forum. I removed one of them because of it, and don't want to see this thread locked because some cannot express themselves on a touchy subject like this one without using unacceptable language.

I've heard that this tale is a falsehood. That means that it is not true, not matter how many times it is repeated. The story in the quote above has apparently been denied by the very POWs it supposedly happened to:

So, if this bit about Jane passing along some note to Vietnamese authorities - 'gooks'? - is a lie, what does say about those who repeat this false story? Does it matter whether it is a lie, or would that just mess up a good narrative?

With so many here calling Jane Fonda nasty names, someone has to balance the scales... so I'll do it. I've got a name for her:
Christian.

How many here would agree that unforgiveness, grudge-holding & slander are uncharitable and un-Christian behaviors? ANYHOW... I think Sister Jane is lookin' good at 70!

I have to disagree with you about Jane looking good. She don't and never did in my opinion.
I have a strong dislike for Jane. That probably won't change. Father God will judge her and that is more than sufficient for me. Jane like many other of the hollywierd folks do one thing and say another. She sat at an Atlanta Braves game and gave the tomahawk chop just like everyone else. Then made a big deal about how she was sorry for offending first nation folks. She wept with them. She didn't mean to be racist. I believe her actions speak much louder than her words. I am sure that if she wept with American servicemen who were POWS they would probably forgive her. I don't see her asking for forgiveness though. I am sure she didn't mean to give aid and comfort to the enemy either.
You will know them by their actions.

the war was over 35 years ago and the people she hurt or caused to be killed still hurt and are still dead . Those who live with those still suffering or those who live with out the ones who died may not feel like kissing up to her. The only ones lower than her were the officals who did not put her azz in jail when they should have.

She went to an enemy with out permission of the govt. in the land she claimed to be a citizen of. The govt. chose to not punish her for that but many other citizens did . One can only hope it will discourage others from doing as she did . She wanted to be an example and in fact became one , just not the one she wanted. Justice is being served . And I agree she dosen't apperar to be so bright IMHO .

You of all people should know to enter talks with a govt. America is at war with is a no no . Some places are off limits for Americans to travel to . Cuba is an example today. She was out of line in the least and maybe a traitor.
She had no authority to repsent the people of the United States so what was her mission ? Disrupt America ? It has been proven that the reports on the effect the US Military was issueing at the time the war was going on were in fact true as proven later by NV documents and accounts. In reality the anti war crowd and her spefic cause SVN to loose it chance at independence and great loss of life . This also spread into other parts of South East Asia. She and those like her may be the root cause of what we are dealing with in America today .

Not a good source of info for or against the left.
When Jane came to Ft. Bragg to do her march about 69-70 we as soldiers were ordered not to yell or defame in anyway. Which I think was appropriate.
I did notice two sides or views at that time. The draft was still in effect and most there, sure would have liked to be somewhere else.
Those fresh from basic training or new recruits were enamored by the movie star.
They were still into trying to drink the world dry and catch women. Politics was more than most knew.
The men that had crawled through the rice paddies, and saw the horrors of war in a far off land were most bitter. It was a hard pill to swallow.
They didnot want to fight that war but had no choice. Jane should have pointed to the government as the purpatrators of the war not the soldiers.
It became so bad for the soldier in public that we were told it would be best if we thumbed home to not wear a uniform.
It was a case of placing the blame on the wrong people to protect the very ones responsible.

Those people were hurt, and are dead, because of decisions by the US gov't, and not by anything Jane Fonda did (or did not) do.

No I believe they blame it in part on the false claims and irresponsible reporting the main stream media was dishing out to gain ratings and most likely start the decline of freedom to which JF was party to.

My roomate in college was from SVN his father was a 3 star general in the SVN army. He offered insights about the war and the American press long before they became known here. I heard a different version of the note story. I saw an interview with one of the P.O.W's and he said that they tried to pass their serial numbers on little peices of paper to hanoi Jane hoping she would do the right thing and pass them on to someone in the millitary bu the story ends the same-betrayal and beatings for all P.O.W.s involved.
