I'm pumped about my slug barrel!

Bought a  Topper slug barrel from Gendoc, and fitted it to a frame I had extra.  Could not use my boresighter, as I don't have a large enough pilot, so at the range I just put up a poster board at 15 yd.s and fired off a shot.  This gave me reference to boresight.  From there I moved the target to 50 yds. and fired one.  Two scope adjustments and then a three shot group with all three touching.  This is with Remington premium sabot slugs.  Best accuracy I've ever gotten with a slug gun.  There was a water jug back on the berm at about 120 yds.  I aimed for the neck, and was satisfied by a large geyser of water.
 
I will use this for hunting on public land where only slugs and muzzies are allowed.
 
Now if I can just wait until October............. :D

The gun is scoped with a 2x20 Simmons.  Very bright little scope!

I've got a couple 2.5x20 Simmons shotgun scopes and they are great for the money. It looks like you got a great shooter there. :D

Lucky dog, I have been trying to find a couple for a while. There aren't any out there. I love how small they are.

Hey Dave, if you need a good, small slug scope, ive got a NIB never muonted Bushnell 1-4X32 Dusk@Dawn on the optics classified thread for not too much at all. Bought it for my 870, when I got that B Square sandwich type mount, but decided to go with the Burris SpeedBead instead. There are pics on the post of the scope with others.

I have a couple of them, but want a little 2.5 for a special little shorty I built. One would go perfect with this gun.  ;)

It may still be around my friend, but you follow my train of thought on that one. Would really be an effective combo! I didnt even know that you could scout a handi untill recently. I really want that short little .45 Colt carbine.
