Smuggler's Notch Primitive Biathalon?
« on: January 03, 2004, 02:54:37 AM »
I recieved an application to attend the Primitive Biathalon January 24th & 25th in Jeffersonville, Vermont. I was wondering if anyone else has intentions of going? I know that this post will pretty much apply only to New Englanders, although I met someone from Michigan as well as some shooters from Canada.

It is actually a pretty interesting event. The rules are pretty simple. Patched round ball and wood framed snowshoes. You can dress historically or not. Last time I attended, I wore my Sorel pacs, green wool pants and my brown short Capote.

You have a course that you walk. There are 9 steel plates that one shoots during the course of fire. Pretty interesting run.

May your aim be true, your legs be swift, and your enjoyment multiplied by ten.

ps  Out here, we don't use snow shoes - we grow people with real long legs.
