The blackhawk won't have an extractor star as it's a single action.. The 32-20 would not be very much different than the current chambering at least from the performance standpoint. As a died in the world traditionalist I like some different cartridges.. I normally dislike highvelocity revoler rounds as they are tough to control and at the ranges most handguns are employeed at are not really necessary. I would go for a 44 Special or perhaps a 38-40 with a spare cylinder set up for 40 S&W. the 40 S&W ammo can be had at decent discounts sometimes and the 38-40 is a great cast bullet round a a good general purpose pistol cartridge,.. The 44 Special would be they best all around cartridge for the standard Blackhawk.. With 250 grain cast slugs it is superb as a woods walking piece and with soft cast or lighter jacketed slugs a really devastating defense load against any thin skinned animal including goblins... Bowen or Reeder either could rebarrel and use a Ruger cylinder retimed and would likely be fairly cheap..as such things go.
