From TM;
" Palestine existed for millenia as viable region and applied for statehood as early as 1920, and with indigenous descendents of original semetics....be they Christian, moslem, druze,,gnostic or jews."
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The land existed ever since God made it ! The Romans started calling the area Palestine after their destruction of Jerusalem and driving most of the Jews from their God-given homeland, about 70AD. The Romans made up the name of "Palestine", simply because they wanted to erase Israel from people's memory..and in some cases they succeeded. There were however, no "Palestinians" as a people, until near the 20th century. It is indeed tragic that the "Palestinians", who are for the most part, refugees from surrounding countries...cannot live in peace with their neighbors the Jews, who would really like peace. We had an exchange student in our neighborhood this past year, who we worked closely with. She is a Druze from Gallilee and has no problem with the Jews. She is pleased however that her home is not in Syria, Lebanon or any of the surrounding Muslim dominated countries. Her freedom would have been greatly diminished..
Fact is, Mara would like to return back here to our neighborhood, since she likes the people and the absence of strife. She may well do that, since she would be a great asset. She has 3 languages and is working on a fourth (Spanish). She was a valuable asset in my son's ministry and also spent time at a Christian dude ranch in the area. Word is, she accepted Jesus as her Savior at that ranch. Praise God !.
