contender forearm

I just unwrapped my Christmas present a contender 23" 45-70 barrel mounted scope on it and when I tried to put the carbine forearm on I found out it did not fit. My other carbine barrels are tapered this one is not . Went to tcarms sight and was not enlightned. Can anyone shed some light on this.Trapdoor

You can either open one of the old style forends up to fit the full bull barrel with sandpaper, or buy one of the new forends from the G2 for a bull barrel.
