Came In The Mail Today From Pennsylvania
« on: July 21, 2011, 04:48:57 PM »
The mailman dropped off these two fine pieces of artillery from Dominick today, a .36 caliber field cannon and a golf ball mortar.  I've got two 5-gallon buckets of golf balls for the mortar....wish I lived in the country.
I wore Confederate Gray back in the day

It's kind of like being a kid on Christmas morning! I purchased one of Dom's G.B. mortars for a friend and I made a slow match along with a linstock for him. I wasn't for sure if he would show much interest in it and boy was I wrong! His wife took some awesome pictures of him launching golf balls (helps to have a good camera) and the next day Duane took some of the pictures to work w/ him and showed them off. He called me tonight to inform me that he was attending a coworkers party on Saturday and he was asked to bring the mortar with him!  Happy shooting and keep your powder dry! :)

Dom does great work. And Dittles is right about that Christmas morning feeling. I am anxiously awaiting that package from Santa in Pennsylvania myself! ;D
