Hello! New to the forum, and first post, glad to have found this place! I just sent away for the forms to get my Curio & Relic lisence, and am wondering what to expect? How long is the approval time. What are the advantages to holding a C&R lisence? What about record keeping? What if I sell a gun purchased with my lisence? As you can tell, I have many question, and if anyone could help with answers or direction about the C&R lisence and it's benefits I would appreciate it!

Once you send your paperwork in, it usually takes 90 days, sometimes less.
The advantages are that you can cut out the middle man, buy direct, and have them sent to your front door.
You copy your license and sign the copies in blue or red ink and send them off to the wholesalers! DO NOT SIGN THE ORIGINAL LICENSE. You will also be able to buy and sell freely between other C&R holders and have to keep a log of all transactions. You can also sell a gun over the net to someone, but it must be sent to their dealer unless they too have a C&R. I have had a license for 4 years now...recently renewed. $30 dollars for 3 years is quite a bargain and you will save that much in the first purchase alone.

Congrats on the application Byrd! Start making the list of folks you want to send your FFL too. Don't forget Midway, Brownells and Numrich which all offer FFL Holder discounts on pieces/parts.

BTW - My C&R arrived in 22 days, so you may get it sooner than you think :-D

Thanks for the tips SBF! I hadn't thought of sending out the lisences to dealers like Midway & Brownells, Lord knows I spend enough money with them now, much less with a discount to boot.
