I just donate a small chunk.

I had really forgotten about RP. He goes against the grain of the current Republican Party enough, without being an idiot to the left dirrection, that I would like to have him as a president.

The only thing from keeping him from being noticed is money. Media doesn't want him and they won't expose him in a positive way. If he can generate a support base ($$$) he can make his own publicity.

He won't get support from old line Republican power base because he goes against too many of the things that they want to keep in play.

The big lie is that Republicans actually want smaller government. That is the real reason a majority of Republicans and the media don't like Ron Paul.

On meet the press, Ron Paul explains his Plan for America to a neocon who has swallowed the Keynesian hog-wash dished out by the government and it's sponsored media: (the neocon seems to be lost so he changes the subject)

It's amazing how that guy can sit there and think he's a conservative while trying to pin RP to the wall.  In my opinion support for Ron Paul seperates the people who read the whole story and try to understand it from the people who only read the headlines and assume they know everything.

Dear Edward,
This Saturday, well over 100,000 people will be in Tuscaloosa for the LSU vs. Alabama football game.

And there is something critical you can do on that day to help Ron Paul.

You see, in order for Ron Paul to be on the ballot in Alabama, we must collect a bare minimum of 500 signatures from qualified voters.

Can you help us collect these signatures at the LSU vs. Alabama game?

We are off to a great start, but there’s a long way to go.

The truth is, we will need many more than 500 so we can survive any challenges we receive questioning whether someone is a registered voter or if they signed a form with the appropriate county.

But the good news is, on Saturday, November 5, we have a tremendous opportunity to get a lot of work easily done on this project.

I will be at Denny Chimes every hour beginning at 2:00pm to hand out some petition forms and collect finished forms.  I will be there for 10 minutes every hour and return at the top of the hour until game time.  I will be wearing a Ron Paul campaign shirt.

I will have Ron Paul t-shirts for those who show up to gather signatures.

As an added bonus, the two people who collect the most signatures will receive a Ron Paul-autographed copy of Liberty Defined.

If you cannot meet up with us but still want to help, you can print off the petitions here.  Once you fill the pages up, please send them to me at:

Marcelo Munoz
1401 Doug Baker Blvd. Suite 107-192.
Birmingham Alabama 35242

But there are a couple of very important points to keep in mind.

First, when asking for signatures, remember you are representing Dr. Paul.

With that in mind, please dress appropriately.  While campaign shirts are fine, offensive clothing is not.

Also, please do not argue or debate with people.

It only takes away from your goal, which is to get Dr. Paul on the ballot.

Second, even though it’s not required, please be sure to gather the email addresses of the folks who sign the petition.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me by email at marcelo@ronpaul2012.com.

For Liberty,

Marcelo Munoz
Alabama State Coordinator

P.S.  You can help Dr. Paul get on Alabama’s ballot by gathering signatures at the LSU vs. Alabama football game this Saturday, November 5, in Tuscaloosa.

I will be at Denny Chimes at the top of every hour starting at 2:00pm to hand out petitions and t-shirts and collect filled-out petitions.

You can download the petition forms here.

What a Patriot!

If this country doesn't elect Ron Paul or Ron Paul type Constitutionalists to important Offices....Especially at the Federal level, then we are doomed..... IMO.

Sadly we just don't have enough voters at this point in time to make a difference. We will have another big government leader in DC regardless of the winner. (Romney or Obama) Same thing in both houses! Neocon's or ultra Liberals. The debts and wars will continue.

With the world economy looking as shakey as it is, it looks like a good time to get ready by pulling our horns back in and takeing care of home. Ron Paul is the only candidate that is thinking in those terms.

Struggling to stay above water By Stella Dawson | Reuters
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The world economy is on a slippery slope. The euro zone appears to have tipped into a mild recession and the rest of the global economy is struggling to hold onto firm ground.
China is slowing, Japan's exports are tumbling. Eastern European countries are wobbling as credit dries up from a pullback in lending by euro-zone banks.
In the United States, the improving economic picture has clouded somewhat after a mixed batch of economic data and downward revision to third-quarter growth to 2.0 percent doused some of the optimism for a strong fourth quarter. Consumer spending slowed in October and business investment weakened, showing a recovery that remains weak and vulnerable to shocks.
Against this uncertain backdrop, financial markets are volatile as European leaders fail to deliver any credible solutions to the sovereign debt crisis and U.S. lawmakers hit gridlock on slashing the budget deficit, further eroding business and consumer confidence and damaging growth prospects.
The U.S. labor market epitomizes these problems.
Two years into a recovery in which corporate profits are robust, hiring should be rebounding sharply. But U.S. employment numbers due on Friday are expected to show an economy treading water, with 120,000 new hires in November, up from 80,000 the prior month but way below the level needed to improve the outlook.
"The trend has been fairly stable over the last five months, stuck at a level just about strong enough to absorb new entrants into the labor force, but not to reduce the unemployment rate significantly," said Jeoff Hall, economist at IFR Markets, a Thomson Reuters company.
In fact, large U.S, companies are showing new caution.
Boeing Co announced plans last week to shutter a Kansas factory that employs 2,100 as it prepares for U.S. federal budget cuts that will hit defense spending hard. Bank of America began sending lay-off notices last week to technology staff as part of plans to cut 30,000 positions over the next few years, and Wells Fargo & Co also began job cuts.
Whirlpool Corp, the world's largest maker of household appliances, reports softening demand worldwide, including fast-growing emerging Asia and Latin America, and is cutting about 5,000 jobs in North America and Europe.
Srinivas Thiruvadanthai, director of research at the Jerome Levy Forecasting Center, also is concerned that fiscal tightening in the United States -- from the roll-off of 2009 stimulus projects, cutbacks to city and state budgets and possible expiration of the payroll tax cut -- will further weaken the U.S. consumer, who accounts for the bulk of growth.
"Clearly Europe is in bad shape, and the global economic conditions are worsening too. If the U.S. consumer tires, the chances for recession are met," he said.
Since late September, the Levy Center has forecast that Europe's debt crisis will hit the United States through financial markets, its banks, weakened exports, lowered corporate profits and drag the United States into recession in 2012. Thiruvadanthai sees nothing to alter that picture.
EUROPEAN MIRE
European finance ministers meet again on Tuesday to review strengthening the region's bailout fund, seen only a month ago as the centerpiece for halting its debt crisis. But the sharp deterioration in euro-zone debt prices, which sucked in Germany last week in a failed bund auction, has undercut how much the fund can be leveraged, leaving investors highly skeptical that politicians can use it to stem contagion.
Italy issues 8 billion euros in longer term debt on Tuesday. Two-year Italian paper already is priced a 8 percent, one full point above the yield considered affordable by a nation with a stalled economy. Belgium, downgraded from AA-plus to AA by S&P on Friday, raises cash a day earlier, with the cost of insuring its debt having hit a record level.
Goldman Sachs warned on Friday that the public sector funding problems, which are hurting bank profits, are restricting household and corporate credit in Europe. This "could turn the moderate recession we are forecasting into something more akin to the 2008/09 experience."
Ripples from the slowdown are felt as far away as Brazil. Its central bank is expected to lower interest rates on Wednesday for third time since August, by a hefty 50 basis points, to 11 percent.
For the United States, recession remains a minority view, though forecasts are being revised downward for 2012. The Institute of International Finance, for instance, noted near-term resilience in its latest forecast but storm clouds ahead.
"Prospects are much less benign for early 2012, when the combination of a large fiscal contraction and rising spillovers from a recession in the euro area are likely to torpedo the U.S. economy," said Philip Suttle, IIF chief economist.
The ISM manufacturing index for the United States, due on Thursday, may show a slight improvement, to 51.5 in November from 50.8 in October, possibly reflecting inventory rebuilding after a tight third quarter. But grim PMI factory indices that showed worsening contractions in Europe and China last week cast some doubt on U.S. resiliency. Vehicle sales, also due on Thursday, are seen holding around the 13.3 million level, up slightly from the prior month.
From Europe, economic sentiment data due on Tuesday is likely to show further deterioration after financing problems worsened for Italy, Spain and even Germany over the past week. Fears of a sovereign ratings downgrade for France spread as its banking problems festered. Consumer sentiment is forecast to decline to minus 21 from minus 19.9 in October - which usually would portend further economic shrinkage ahead.
As long as European leaders delay in delivering a fiscal union that can rescue the common currency, financial markets will remain in the driving seat and the growth picture shaky.
"The world is struggling along, with downside risks from a bust-up of the euro-zone, or Greece, Italy and Spain leaving. It might be that Europe just runs out of time to fix its problems," said Paul Ashworth, economist at Capital Economics.

The money in the European Union banking system does not inlude all the money of all the European Banks, Just the money that bankers wanted to risk in a Federal Reserve type system, where taxpayers bail out bad banking decisions. ear

  Euro Crisis Destabilizing the Dollar
“In response to pressure from Wall Street, the White House and central banks in Europe, the Federal Reserve last week drastically cut interest rates for currency swaps to benefit troubled European banks.  This will flood world markets with more dollars and will soon mean rising prices for every American at the grocery store.  This extra liquidity will temporarily ease the cash crunch for irresponsible bankers, but in the long run it will make the situation much worse for consumers all over the world.  Equities markets registered big gains at the news, but only for a day.  Make no mistake - this is not capitalism, and this is not how a free market operates.  In a free market, bankruptcies happen, even to large banks.  We must remember, free markets are the true and best regulators of financial mismanagement…”

It is all about the banks now. It is a world banking system controlled by the worlds central banks that collaborate. If Italy cannot make it's debt payments, then the French banks go down. Us banks follow because of the huge CDS exposure. Therefore, the federal reserve and EU central banks will continue to fund the debt exposure at the expense of all citizens. Remember money created out of thin air is a hidden tax on the people and only extends the "extend and pretend" making things worse in the long run. Don't think it is capitalism; that hasn't existed for years. It is government interventionism that leads to more unintended consequences, which leads to more intervention, and so on until the whole system is socialized and fails. Where we are in the end game, I don't know, but the symptoms are identifiable and it is the symptoms that Keynesians address, not the root cause.

The consensus is that Europe goes down first, followed by Japan, and then the US. Consensus is usually wrong in it's order of prediction.

Good news folks, Ron Paul is surging in New Hampshire according to the latest Rasmussen poll:
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2012/election_2012_presidential_election/new_hampshire/election_2012_new_hampshire_republican_primary

Election 2012: New Hampshire Republican Primary New Hampshire: Romney 33%, Gingrich 22%, Paul 18%, Huntsman 10%

Tuesday, December 13, 2011
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney remains on top of the New Hampshire Republican Primary field, but the race for second place between Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul is a lot closer than it was just two weeks ago.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Republican Primary Voters shows Romney with 33% of the vote, followed by Gingrich at 22%. Paul now picks up 18% support, his best showing in the Granite State so far. Former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman comes in fourth with 10% of the vote, with no other candidate reaching double digits. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Support for Romney, Gingrich and Huntsman is little changed from the previous survey, but Paul has now closed the 10-point gap between him and Gingrich to just four points.
Texas Governor Rick Perry, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum and Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann now each pick up three percent (3%) support in New Hampshire. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, while five percent (5%) are undecided.
Forty-seven percent (47%) of New Hampshire GOP primary voters are now certain of how they will vote, up from 42% two weeks ago. Just over half (53%) say they could change their minds between now and the January 10 primary.
Romney's support is down eight points from late October.  Gingrich shot to second in New Hampshire late last month following a surge of support in both state and national surveys and a major newspaper endorsement in the Granite State. Both Perry and Georgia businessman Herman Cain, who has since suspended his campaign, took turns in second place in New Hampshire in September and October. Paul has steadily remained in third in all of those surveys.
Among Republican voters in Iowa, Gingrich leads with 32% of the vote over Romney’s 19%, but this survey also includes Cain. Rasmussen Reports will release new numbers on the Iowa Caucus later this week.
(Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls).  Rasmussen Reports updates are also available on Twitter or Facebook.
This New Hampshire survey of 721 Likely Republican Primary Voters was conducted on December 12, 2011 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology

A plurality of New Hampshire Republican voters (45%) thinks Romney would be the strongest opponent against President Obama in the general election, while 29% say that of Gingrich and 10% of Paul. Thirty-one percent (31%) view Bachmann as the weakest general election candidate, but 20% say that of Paul. On the national level, Gingrich is the clear favorite among GOP voters as the strongest opponent to Obama.
Eighty-one percent (81%) of New Hampshire GOP primary voters believe the candidates’ performances in debates are at least somewhat important to how they vote, but just 27% see them as Very Important. Thirty-one percent (31%) believe there have been too many debates so far, but 52% say there’s been about the right amount.
Fifty-two percent (52%) of these New Hampshire Republicans also think known Democrats serving as news anchors should be allowed to serve as moderators in the GOP debates. Thirty percent (30%) think only Republicans should be allowed to moderate the debates, but another 18% are undecided.

Unfortunately for the last decade, we have been going the wrong way. Ron Paul is what we need to get back on track.

If that is true, who is it that needs a reality check?
Maybe we the American people.

Ron Paul Quotes:

“Ideas are very important to the shaping of society. In fact, they are more powerful than bombings or armies or guns. And this is because ideas are capable of spreading without limit. They are behind all the choices we make. They can transform the world in a way that governments and armies cannot. Fighting for liberty with ideas makes more sense to me than fighting with guns or politics or political power. With ideas, we can make real change that lasts.”
~ Ron Paul, Liberty Defined: The 50 Urgent Issues That Affect Our Freedom

“Under the United States Constitution, the federal government has no authority to hold states “accountable” for their education performance…In the free society envisioned by the founders, schools are held accountable to parents, not federal bureaucrats.”
~ Ron Paul

“I'm convinced that you never have to give up liberties to be safe. I think you're less safe when you give up your liberties.”
~ Ron Paul

“Freedom is not defined by safety. Freedom is defined by the ability of citizens to live without government interference. Government cannot create a world without risks, nor would we really wish to live in such a fictional place. Only a totalitarian society would even claim absolute safety as a worthy ideal, because it would require total state control over its citizens’ lives. Liberty has meaning only if we still believe in it when terrible things happen and a false government security blanket beckons.”
~ Ron Paul

“Truth is treason in the empire of lies.”
~ Ron Paul, The Revolution: A Manifesto

“Mr. Speaker, I once again find myself compelled to vote against the annual budget resolution for a very simple reason: it makes government bigger.”
~ Ron Paul

“The most basic principle to being a free American is the notion that we as individuals are responsible for our own lives and decisions. We do not have the right to rob our neighbors to make up for our mistakes, neither does our neighbor have any right to tell us how to live, so long as we aren’t infringing on their rights. Freedom to make bad decisions is inherent in the freedom to make good ones. If we are only free to make good decisions, we are not really free.”
~ Ron Paul

“Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.”
~ Ron Paul

“Failure of government programs prompts more determined effort, while the loss of liberty is ignored or rationalized away…whether is it is the war on poverty, drugs, terrorism…or the current Hitler of the day, an appeal to patriotism is used to convince the people that a little sacrifice of liberty, here or there, is a small price to pay…The results, though, are frightening and will soon become even more so.”
~ Ron Paul

“When the federal government spends more each year than it collects in tax revenues, it has three choices: It can raise taxes, print money, or borrow money. While these actions may benefit politicians, all three options are bad for average Americans.”
~ Ron Paul

“A system of capitalism presumes sound money, not fiat money manipulated by a central bank. Capitalism cherishes voluntary contracts and interest rates that are determined by savings, not credit creation by a central bank.”
~ Ron Paul

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”
~ Ron Paul

“The original American patriots were those individuals brave enough to resist with force the oppressive power of King George…Patriotism is more closely linked to dissent than it is to conformity and a blind desire for safety and security.”
~ Ron Paul

“As many frustrated Americans who have joined the Tea Party realize, we cannot stand against big government at home while supporting it abroad. We cannot talk about fiscal responsibility while spending trillions on occupying and bullying the rest of the world. We cannot talk about the budget deficit and spiraling domestic spending without looking at the costs of maintaining an American empire of more than 700 military bases in more than 120 foreign countries. We cannot pat ourselves on the back for cutting a few thousand dollars from a nature preserve or an inner-city swimming pool at home while turning a blind eye to a Pentagon budget that nearly equals those of the rest of the world combined.”
~ Ron Paul

“It is no coincidence that the century of total war coincided with the century of central banking.”
~ Ron Paul, End the Fed

“A citizen walking through the airport today is bombarded with 1984-style propaganda messages that are designed to make us fear some amorphous threat and also be suspicious of others. The government designs these messages to make us feel dependent and heavily lorded over in every aspect of our lives. These messages are becoming ever more pervasive, hitting us even in grocery stores when we are shopping.”
~ Ron Paul, Liberty Defined: The 50 Urgent Issues That Affect Our Freedom
The sole purpose of government is to protect your liberty. The Constitution is not to restrict the people, but to restrict government.  Ron Paul

The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first. - Thomas Jefferson

It isn't the "giving up " of those that wish to put the USA back on track that concerns me. It is the 50% plus or minus a few points that don't even bother to get informed and vote.
