Interarms Mark X

I own a couple of Mark Xs in .270. The latest one was purchased last month was a Mark X Marquis (Mannlicher stock). Do the markings on the rear of the receiver near the 2 receiver sight holes indicate the year of mfg? Mine are marked 0779 and 068 respectively.

I'm not sure, I have a mark X in 25-06. Great gun.

You might well be right.  Even though my Dad's Marks were sold years ago, I still have the list he made for the ins. guys in a file.  I noted his 270 was marked 069.  He bought it in 1970.
 
One of the most accurate rifles I have ever fired.  Does yours have the double set trigger?

Numbers on the rear bridge do indeed indicate year of manufacture

My Mannlicher stocked Mark X Marquis does not have double triggers. Am I correct in calling it a Marquis?  The rifles I have seen on line that had double triggers and Mannnlicher stocks also had spoon bolts. I would love one of those.
I fell in love with the Mark Xs last summer when I picked up the one marked 0779 in Charleston in a pawn shop for $235. It is spotless. It is in one of those old Ram Line stocks in what they referred to as "Wood Tech". Kinda looks like wood.  It wouldn't shoot a group worth a cuss until I floated the barrel and bedded the recoil lug. It does pretty good now. It's a heavy gun (9.2 lbs with rings,bases and Burris 4.5-14x42) but most Masuers are. I don't mind.
What do ya'll think the Mannlicher stocked Mark X is worth? I'm not selling but just want to be assured I got a decent deal at $350 with rings and bases.  Thx

If I could find one like Pop's for $350.00 I'd jump on it.  His had beautiful wood, raised cheekpiece, adjustable double trigger, and you are correct, it had the spoon bolt. 
 
Mama needed money after he died and I sold most of his stuff for her.  I wish I had bought that one.  Of course, if I could have afforded it, I would have bought them all.
 
Hope yours is as accurate as Pop's.

I have a 30-06 from 0773 that I love dearly, P O Ackley barrel, Timmney trigger, very accurate.  $350 with a nice stock and R&B is a very good deal.  I watch them on GunBroker sometimes, half hoping I'll find an action for a project I have in mind.  I think they're under-appreciated.
