Just a make new's sort of report.  There are few except the very rich that have made out well in this downturn.  Anyone who owns property has lost real value.  Anyone who doesn't has lost buying power at the grocery store and gas pump.  Might have been good for Warren B. but sure has hurt me....and I'm white and employed...

there are more whites . The loss is pread over a larger population . Same reason 357 mag has better one shot stops there was way more cases using 357 mag. back when the study started now others are gaining respect.

I read that article and thought wow what a load of crap. I have 53 people working for me. Male, female, several races and religions. This is what I discovered, those that show up on time and put forth an extra effort tend to make more per hour than those who are late and cuase problems. A sense of entitlement, or believing you can be habitually late or slack off when everybody else is working will not get you more dollars per hour. I find it is a tad more difficult to fire minorities but if you documnet well and have them sign counseling statements for poor performance you can. It also is nice ammutnition for the civil suit they bring when they sue you for discriminination.
 
I recently had a summer hire teenager working with the transportation crew say he didn't have to help off load the truck becuase he was on the DoD welfare system. His work leader told him to go to the office and see me. He repeated the same sentiment to me. I freed up his future. I guess you can add this up to the man trying to keep someone down if you wish. The other summer hires are busting thier butts.
 
I am fed up with the poor woe is me, whitey is keeping down mentallity. If you want a job, work hard, do good work you can be very succesful. I am sure there are a few guys on these forums who busted their backs and retired early or owned their own businesses. You don't become succesful by shooting dope, drinking 40's and sleeping till noon everyday demanding a handout.

Shu, I'm glad you freed up his future, didn't Martin Luther King Jr. say; there's nothing better than being:“Free at last; free at last; thank God Almighty we are free at last.” 
In this country, nobody can keep you down, if you work at it. That's the bottom line.
The unfortunate truth of the matter is that a lot or it might even be the majority of blacks and Hispanics do not save there money for a "rainy day".  Most of their earnings are spent on what I consider frivolous items. That last comment is a personal observation, based on experience.

Celebrating mediocrity, denigrating success, and enabling sloven behaviour just ain't paying off for the "minority community"?  Shocked, shocked I am. Round up the usual suspects, whites, and the rich, or am I repeating myself.


You take any group,  white, black, mung, indian, you name it, give them everything they need to survive, and tell them every day it is unfair. At some point every one of them will not only believe it but will come to resent those giving them the help.


Advice... A 2% across the board reduction in all government aid EVERYTHING. Every year going forward 2% reduction in actual dollars, inflation be damned. Let the wailing and gnashing of teeth begin.


Slowly at first, but eventually it will be less painful to do the jobs only Mexicans will do. Guess what, it sucks in Mexico, sucks bad enough those poor SOB's come here to do anything and are pretty dang happy to be doing it. It is high time our own citizens start working for their sustenance.
