Balanced Budget
« on: August 01, 2011, 04:23:21 PM »
Someone please take me to school; what is wrong with a balanced budget? What is wrong with spending less than you make? What is wrong with paying down loans? What is wrong with helping those truly in need? (not freeloaders or people who think they are entitled)
I seem to be missing something. I thought you should balance your budget, not spend more than what you earn and don't borrow unless you have to.( ie house)
Obviously I don't no jack about economics.

the answer is liberals.  they are thieves, pure and simple.   my daughter would have spent me into the poorhouse years ago if she hadn't been reined in, so they must be reined in.  also there is the power thing. liberals seem to think that only their ideas are valid.  they always forget that it was conservatives who fought and died so have the freedom to spew nonsense.

You just don't understand priorities and their extreme importance to the continued well-being of this country--such as cowboy poetry.  I'm sure Harry Reid would be happy to explain it to you.

I would love for someone to explain why I shouldn't honor my debts or tell me why it is ok to spend more than I make.

You hit the nail on your head.

I take it no one can explain why it is good to have debt and increase debt. Would this mean the liberals agree with conservatives? 8)

Honor you debts if they are real and owed to honorable men.

If they aren't real, then they aren't debts.  As for who they are owed to, that is irrelevant.

Magna Carta? Really? Maybe next we can go by the rules set forth in the Charter for the United Federation of Planets.

Seriously...If you ever find yourself in bankruptcy court you should probably refrain from mounting a defense based on the Mana Carta.
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?

Lakota - you are partially right, the Magna Carta really has more influence on "Common Law" where as Bankruptcy is administered according to codified law.
