Poor TM:
FYI the pharisees were in effect, a political party..a rather headstrong bunch, interpreting documents as they preferred, rather than what they really meant, having little real regard for God...much like liberal Democrats of today. I said he disagreed with some pharisees..because we have no written record of dealings with Pharisees in the more remote provinces..
As far as any predictions concerning so-called "Palestinians", there was no need to comment on the Ishmaelites. God had already addressed that problem :
Genesis 16:11-12 New International Version (NIV)
11 The angel of the LORD also said to her: “You are now pregnant
and you will give birth to a son.
You shall name him Ishmael,
a]'>[a] for the LORD has heard of your misery.
12 He will be a wild donkey of a man;
his hand will be against everyone
and everyone’s hand against him,
and he will live in hostility
toward
b]'>[b] all his brothers.”
Wow! It.sure galls your butt to understand that Jesus was born to a Jewess, doesn't it ! Sorry about that but truth must win out ! Jesus was born of a Jewess, born in Bethlehem and lived in Nazareth...both Jewish towns. His 'nativity' was in Bethlehem..making him solidly Jewish. A descendant of King David, which made Jesus carnally, a descendant of a royal line.
Even as a child he visited the synagog in Jerusalem to celebrate the passover. Remember how he taught the teachers in the Temple..when He was just 12 years old ? His followers called Him "Rabbi" or "Rabboni"..He could not have been a rabbi if He were not a 'proven' Jew !
He was called "King of the Jews" (Matt 2:2) He identified himself as "King of the Jews".. (Mark 15:2).... fact is, He identified himself as a Jew. (John 4:22)..
Here's a Sunday School lesson for you...
