This thread is in response to the one about the tea party.
If you are in business making widgets you need a patent (from the gov't) your factory is regulated by OSHA, NIOSH (same thing but line different politicians pockets) the EPA, the DOT if you haul your widgets by truck, FAA if by plane. If your widgets make food or a drug you will also be regulated by the USDA and or the FDA. If your widgets make a bang you will also be regulated by the BATFE along with the above. This is only on the federal level it doesn't include the hoops on a state and local level. If you are then able to make a dollar, 17 cents goes to the federal gov't 8 cents goes to SS, and 9 cents to the state if your business is in a state like minnesota. Now its the TEA party that is un-American? Tell me why would anyone even want to start a business?
