any one have any idea what a 4" barrel colt diamondback will sell for these days

From what I've seen at gun shows, a 4" Diamondback in excellent shape goes between $500 and $600. If I had a nice one, I wouldn't sell it for that. I love Colt revolvers, don't have even one.

One way to get an honest assessment of what they are selling for right now would be to peruse the on line gun auction sites for those that actually did sell with similar condition and features as yours (not asking prices of those unsold).
