That was so predictable but the feds were to busy playing political games with an imaginary debt crisis.
Now watch them claim that the drop would have been so much worse had they not came up with such a sweet deal.
What did we get in this sweet deal?  We got no cuts of substance. A bigger hole to dig our selves out of. More job killing BS. They left almost everything else on the table.
Yes a sweet deal a compromise they traded our children's future for 15 minutes of spotlight time and some political chest beating.
What threat of impending doom will these liberals use next? What compromise will those Republicans give to appease them?

Frankly, I'm surprised it wasn't worse. As a nation, we'll still borrow more than we can afford. Oh well, maybe next time.

The mainstream media and the Obama administration says its around 9.5%, but the real number is more like 16-18%, which are at depression levels. You will never hear any of the above tell the truth. Of coarse if we had a  president other than a Democrat. All you would hear are the real unemployment numbers. Over, and over, and over....

I'm glad I went to a secure low interest fund a little while back. I'll take my 3 to 4 % and be happy until the market drops very low, then I'll buy back in. I am hoping for a bottom of 4 to 5000. How stupid could anyone be, hey lets take out more debt to pay off our dept. I hope America goes bankrupt.

what's wrong with America. The CEO of the company I work for got a 40% increase in compensation. The other top executives got up to 100%. He then made an announcement that because of tough times no raises will be forthcoming and insurance premiums were going up 25%. That's what's wrong with America.
PS they know there are no jobs out there so their attitude is "tough".

well I have a mortgage a family and there are no  jobs out there in my field. I earn a decent living, work hard and can still save money. The bosses are pigs but unless you want to be on the unemployment line or welfare what can you do.

On an upside to the credit rating, I have been a saver, and I hope this ends my punishment and interest rates go up.

Bankrupt cheese? I would only like to see myself rewarded for saving and not building up a large debt. Interest rates stink if you are a saver. Now old friend and buddy cheese, why aint you at Sturgis?
